A recent study by the European Journal of Public Health confirms what lots of people know: e-cigarette use is of a significantly lower incidence of stroke and cancer in comparison to tobacco use. This study comes hot on the heels of increasing reports of the harmful effects of carbon monoxide smoke. E-cigs are much less addictive than cigarettes, they do not produce cancer causing toxins, plus they deliver much fewer smokers’ lung cancer causing particulates into the air. This all appears like an excellent benefit but why are they so successful? E-Cigs certainly are a safe alternative to smoking.
Most of the dangers we associate with cigarettes are risks to your health. Cancer, coronary attack, stroke, and lung disease are just some of the complications you can suffer from if you don’t quit. The authors of this study think that quitting smoking is beneficial for everyone because it not only lowers your risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer, but it lowers your risk for stress, anxiety and other emotional disorders as well. They’re optimistic that the rapid onset of e-cigs could help decrease the amount of deaths due to smoking cigarettes. They expect that the costs of these electronic cigarettes and vaporizers will continue to decrease in order to encourage more people to test this new alternative to smoking. It seems that everyone benefits when one stops smoking.
There is no clear evidence yet on how much longer people smoke compared to those who never tried by using this newer approach to quitting. Most vaporizers take just 30 mins to reach the user’s mouth. Although some claim that enough time has decreased, quite often it’s the non-smokers that report they do not smoke up to they used to. This is good news for the vaporizer companies because people just like the convenience of not having to deal with the toxins within regular cigarettes. There were a few reports in the medical literature in addition to in online research that claim to have evidence that the long-term use of e Cigarette’s can cause cancer. But if you think about it, we realize that even young teens that are never likely to be smokers will most likely start using e Cigs to satisfy their desire for nicotine. It is more important to educate them about the harmful consequences of smoking than to scare them away from an addictive drug that could not do them long-term harm. Everybody knows that the Department of Health is concerned about the growing number of youth who are being diagnosed with cancer each year.
